This wash was a dud because the masking fluid had a few holes and watercolor is not opaque enough, but I thought it looked cool and it's hard to replicate salt on water exactly.
It's really interesting actually. The edges of the flowers seem a bit too sharp but otherwise the piece looks great.
oit is am amazing use of negative space and a good achievement in creating vivid dark colors without making mud
I've fallen in love with Payne's Gray, it's great for dark colors, but it isn't a flat neutral gray.
